Andrew Moran is a bearded Canadian-based writer who holds a smoking pipe, drinks Tim Hortons coffee regularly and listens to swing and bebop jazz as he writes. Mirror of Love by Samna Ghani - A Time-Travel Romance

Image
Time Changes Everything……  A new and exciting time-travel romance Book Blurb Emma Miller is an intelligent woman who believes in thinking with her head instead of her heart. A total cynic, she does not believe in fairytale endings nor is she one to swoon or pine for some man. She believes in attaining a comfortable existence. No complications. No worries. Her decision to visit Salar de Uyuni pretty much changes her entire perspective – about love, life and the truly important things in life.   Ashton Colyns is just like Emma. Cynical. Sarcastic. Witty. No idealistic notions for him either. But with his dry sense of humor and his irresistible charm, he manages to penetrate through Emma’s no-nonsense persona. Midst the excitement and adventure and through the complicated mess with Henry Tudor and Anne Boleyn, will Ashton and Emma finally realize they were meant to be together? Book Excerpt  “I never asked you to declare your love for Jeffrey or pretend to have any

Bared to You by Sylvia Day - Plagiarism Much??

Image
What with all the hype of Fifty Shades of Grey and the disappointing "his point of view" book "Grey", somebody recommended I try Bared to You by Sylvia Day. While I'm not a huge fan of erotic romances, heroes like Christian Grey do tend to be addictive (well, you know what I mean).                                    Image Credit: pr.com So I read Bared to You and have the other parts of the Crossfire series on my Kindle as well (not that I am going to read them unless I have nothing better to read).  Let me start by saying that I am NO FAN of E.L. James and her writing skills (or lack of for that matter) but in the name of fairness, I must say that ripping off somebody's book is REALLY REALLY not cool!  Christian Grey is a drop-dead gorgeous, successful and disgustingly rich gift of hot, maleness to womankind.  Gideon Cross is  is a drop-dead gorgeous, successful and disgustingly rich gift of hot, maleness to womankind.   Christian Grey is fif

Mirror of Love - Great reviews! From the readers, for the readers

I am always distrustful of people who say they are marrying for logical reasons and not that heart-thumping, pulse-quickening, ecstatic LOVE, and this story tells why: you just haven't met him (or her) yet. In this case, our heroine travels much farther than the originally intended Bolivia to find her heart's desire. Wonderful story. Loved it! Samna Ghani never fails to deliver sizzling romantic tension. She can pack more genuine heat into a fully-clothed hug than most writers can get into pages of explicit descriptions of "hot, moist" this and "throbbing" that. Add to this a suspenseful trip to the England of Henry VIII and a rather catty and insecure Anne Boleyn, and you've got a winner of a beach read. Ms. Ghani writes a tale of love, time-travel, and excitement. Her writing is vivid and tantalizing. You feel like you are right there with Emma on her adventure. It takes some time but Emma realizes that Ashton Colyns is the perfect man fo

Bang Bang! I've Just Re-discovered Hrithik Roshan I’m not a big fan of Indian movies. Not after the era of Amitabh Bachchan ended, that is. Only a few actors appeal to me including Aamir Khan, who always dares to be different, and Shahrukh Khan who has been vastly entertaining in his Don movies. Apart from that, I haven’t found much entertainment from Bollywood. A few days ago, I saw Bang Bang starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif. Before that, I did not even know who Katrina Kaif was :-)  But it’s actually Hrithik Roshan who took me by surprise. Hrithik Roshan is the winner of six Filmfare awards, is considered to be one of the most attractive male actors in the Bollywood film industry and has been crowned for the second year in a row as the Sexiest Asian Man in the world by the Eastern Eye Weekly. He became an overnight superstar back in 2000 with the release of his first film, Kaho Naa Pyar Hai .                                            Image Credit: Wi

Scott Berger has been writing since 2006 when he got the writing bug after reading a chapter of a co-worker’s story. The previous 40-something years were spent gathering experiences or imagining them. Scott lives in the Greater Toronto Area with his wife Rita and a 100-pound Rottweiler named Puppy. Scott was kind enough to stop by my blog and answer a few questions about his writing process. Enjoy!  Why do you write?   I write because…… Which writers inspire you?   Sidney Sheldon and Stephen King What is your favorite book and why?   Prisoner of Tehran by Marina Nemat. A true story so implausible that if I wrote it, calling it fiction, no one would believe it. So well written I felt like I was there. What do you think is the easiest thing about writing?    Coming up with new ideas. What is the most difficult? Editing. It's like counting the brush strokes on the Mona Lisa. From books that have already been published by other authors
